For this project I was tasked with using mostly reclaimed material to make a table. I found an old solid oak table, and taking some of the aesthetics from that piece I created a design that mixed both the old shellac coated oak, as well as a new steel and ebonized oak style. This was a great opportunity for me to practice both my amateur welding skills and try the steel wool and vinegar ebonization process. The top of the table has a thick layer of epoxy to create the glossy finish.
