I’ve always loved the combo of walnut and copper, and this mallet was a chance to experiment with some new techniques. I designed the engraving using CAD, and after laser engraving it I inlayed thin copper wire and sanded flat. The handle is easily removable from the top, but holds onto the head using a slight taper. I took heavy inspiration from the Art Deco movement for the overall design, as well as from popular fantasy in the form of ‘Dwarven’ stylings.
